Paisaxe humana en Ucrania (Human landscape in Ukraine, 2022)

In 2022, with the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, Tizón travelled to the country on several occasions to document the conflict and carry out humanitarian work in the most affected areas. During his stay, he captured the three images that are now on display at the Pontevedra Biennial. Paisaxe humana en Ucrania (Human landscape in Ukraine, 2022) shows the devastating effects of the bombing of Borodianka, one of the first towns attacked by the Russian army during the recent war, highlighting not only the physical destruction, but also the social and environmental damage that these conflicts cause and that is often made invisible.
