The Immigration (2024)

At the Pontevedra Biennial, Raida Adon presents two paintings that directly address the suffering caused by the conflict. Gaza (2024) and The Immigration (2024), created during her exile in Paris, reflect the reality of the Palestinian diaspora and the devastation of war.  In The Immigration, the artist delves into the pain of displacement and the loss of one's home, recurring themes in the Palestinian experience. Both pieces question dominant power structures and reveal an ongoing struggle for justice and dignity in a context marked by violence.
