Longing (2003)
The biennial also presents a selection of her videographic work in which she explores themes such as displacement, memory and loss in the Palestinian context. In Longing (2003), Adon addresses the construction of the dividing wall in Palestine, a physical and symbolic barrier that fragments not only the territory, but also the lives of its inhabitants. In this piece, the artist raises questions about security, peace and division, while reflecting on the pain and anguish caused by fragmentation.
