Fasatine (2001)

The biennial also presents a selection of her videographic work in which she explores themes such as displacement, memory and loss in the Palestinian context. Fasatine (2001) is about a Palestinian village abandoned in 1948, in which she uses the image of black dresses hanging among empty houses as a metaphor for the destruction and the emptiness left by the exodus.
