At the Pontevedra Art Biennial, Farida El Gazzar explores the landscape in a symbolic territory. With paintings created specifically for the occasion, she proposes a connection between the landscapes of her native land and the region of Galicia, establishing a dialogue that goes beyond geographical limitations. To her, nature is a transforming space that offers a constant opportunity for reconfiguring humanity, for mutual rediscovery. Between the real and the oneiric, her work invites us to reflect on the relationship between human beings and nature, exploring the disappearance of boundaries between what is human and non-human. Eco-feminism and post-humanism are closely connected in her proposal, raising questions about the power structures that dominate both human beings and the planet.
