Damián Ucieda (1980, A Coruña, Spain) is a photographer who studied Illustration at Massana School in Barcelona and graduated in Photography at the Edinburgh College of Art. His work explores the complexity of the contemporary world, the human condition and its relationship with the environment. Far from traditional documentary photography, Ucieda creates a fictional universe where his images present out-of-time scenes. The characters, as actors, seem trapped in an action that goes beyond the captured moment, creating a sense of unreality and temporal suspension that invites viewers to reconsider the whole story.
