Carmen Hermo
Carmen Hermo (1967, Pontevedra, Spain) is an artist, researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Pontevedra. Her work manifests itself as a territory of critical exploration, in which she researches and manipulates accepted facts and highlights those that have been ignored, often radically questioning the role of the museum as a cultural industry. In her practice, she advocates for art as a driving force for social transformation from an ecofeminist approach and revisits issues like the environmental crisis, the depletion of energy resources and the reconnection with earth's spirituality. The finiteness of human existence is also key to her work.
