International Seminar: Being Human Again

The National University of Distance Education (UNED) and the Provincial Council of Pontevedra (Deputación de Pontevedra) present the international seminar Being Human Again, a space for reflection that brings together leading figures from the intellectual, artistic and academic worlds to analyse the impact of war today, and the role of art, memory and thought as elements of resistance, healing and hope. This event will be held on 25, 26 and 27 September at the UNED associated centre in Pontevedra.

This seminar gathers renowned personalities in contemporary thought and creation: the art critic and philologist Ángela Molina Climent; the Dutch essayist and founder of the Nexus Institute, Rob Riemen; the political theorist and curator Françoise Vergès; the artist and strategist Alberto Barreiro; the Italian art critic and curator Demetrio Paparoni; the Palestinian artist, writer and filmmaker Emily Jacir; the Israeli photographer and founder of the organisation Breaking the Silence, Miki Kratsman; and the philosopher Francesca Ferrando, specialist in posthuman studies and professor at the New York University.
