Mariña Núñez en conversa acerca das súas pezas na bienal

The artist Marina Núñez talks about her participation in the Pontevedra Biennial, with works in two exhibition spaces addressing war from a symbolic and contemporary perspective.

On the Castelao Building's façade, Núñez presents an intervention on the building glass with images evoking floral explosions: symbols of struggle, destruction and rebirth. In the gothic Santa Clara Church, she transforms an old altarpiece into an audiovisual installation that intertwines nature, spirituality and science fiction.

Through giant flowers, ghostly figures and landscapes that suggest both threat and hope, the artist invites us to think about human fragility, the persistence of life and the possible forms of resistance to face of the challenges of the present time.
