Lois Patiño in conversation with Agar Ledo

In this encounter, Lois Patiño will talk with Agar Ledo about his film Bahari (2025). Shot in Zanzibar, Bahari turns its gaze to the daily life of the women who cultivate seaweed on the beaches, along with the presence of marine species such as hermit crabs. Through a sensory and poetic aesthetic, this film builds a shared cosmology between humans and non-humans, from a post-humanist perspective of the world. In this story, women's voices intertwine with the soundscape of the sea, creating an immersive experience that challenges the anthropocentric perspective.
In this conversation, the film creation processes and the reflections it offers will be addressed: the interdependence between species, the spiritual dimension of the natural environment and the possibilities of inter-species coexistence.
A meeting not to be missed for those interested in exploring new ways of thinking about the image, the landscape and the relationship between art, ecology and contemporary thought.
